Sussex Museums Group’s Annual General Meeting is fast approaching! And we’re pleased to announce that the event is sold out on Eventbrite. Our thanks to our members for their interest and support.
Taking place in the William IV room at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton, themes for this years AGM are decolonising and democratising museum collections. We’re grateful to be joined by speakers Beloved Adonai, Trustee of the Museums Association, and Philip Hadland, Curator at Hastings Museum & Art Gallery.
Beloved will be discussing her work in helping develop guidelines to support museums with decolonising practices, and Philip will talk about Hastings Museum’s experience democratising their collections for the 21st Century.
Members will also be treated to a tour of Brighton Museum & Art Gallery’s new exhibition, ABBA: One Week in Brighton. We’re sure to abba great time!
